Mr. O’Connor brings over a decade of experience in fund operations, financial reporting, and auditing across Latin America and the Caribbean. At Acerta Consulting, he specializes in fund controllership, treasury planning, and implementing financial reporting infrastructures for investment and private equity funds.

Previously, he served as Fund Controller at TC Latin America Partners, overseeing financial reporting and treasury operations for private equity vehicles, and as Audit Manager at PwC, leading audits across banking and financial institutions in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.

  • Strong foundation in financial auditing, with more than 10 years of experience leading and managing audits for financial institutions, retail, and investment entities in Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting, integrating digital transformation initiatives and cross-border collaboration.
  • Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and international auditing standards, ensuring clients meet the highest standards of compliance and transparency.

Prior to Acerta Consulting

  • TC Latin America Partners (Dominican Republic): Served as Fund Controller, responsible for managing the financial reporting process for private equity vehicles, coordinating treasury operations, and overseeing regulatory and tax compliance.
  • PwC Interaméricas (Dominican Republic): Progressed to Audit Manager, leading multiple financial audit projects across banking, retail, and service industries. Previously served as Senior Auditor, planning and executing audit engagements, identifying and mitigating risks, and training junior auditors on audit methodologies and IFRS.
  • Crowe Horwath Venezuela (Caracas, Venezuela): Semi-Senior Auditor, where he managed projects for financial audits of commercial, service, and hospitality companies, prepared inflation-adjusted financial statements, and developed internal control reports.
